The Health and Occupational Wellness Program (HOW) is a government-funded initiative designed to empower obstetrics and gynaecology professionals to create and implement tailored wellbeing programs within their hospitals. Its' mission is to foster healthier work environments by supporting the personal and professional wellbeing of those who care for others.

 

The visual identity of HOW draws from its origins: a tree symbol, originally created by the two doctors who founded the program. This tree became the cornerstone of the refreshed brand identity.

 

The tree represents stability and groundedness, qualities further emphasised by its symmetrical form, evoking balance and strength. The logomark carries a duality, symbolising a tree and a person in its centre thus capturing the program’s focus on individual wellbeing within a supportive system.

 

The soft blue hues reflect the calm, clinical nature of healthcare environments, while a contrasting warm orange adds a layer of compassion and care, embodying the nurturing spirit of the program. Together, the HOW brand identity reinforces its purpose: to support O&Gs across Australia and New Zealand and foster a safe working environment.​​​​​​
