O&G MAGAZINE

RANZCOG Quaterly Magazine

O&G Magazine is the quarterly publication of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). It serves as a trusted platform for thought leadership, clinical insights, and topical discussion in the field of women's health.

I was privileged enough to be handed the responsibility of re-designing the magazine.

One of the biggest challenges I faced was upholding the tradition of the magazine, whilst also creating a new energy and engagement with our audience. The logo is a balance of previous style, however, it utilises thin, balanced lines and ornamental accents that are reflective of more modern design motifs.

Other key considerations were:

  • The RANZCOG colours influenced the design, further recognising the magazine
    as part of the College.

  • The 3 column structure allows for more flexibility when presenting content, keeping the reader engaged throughout the magazine.

  • Leading a size of text was slightly increased to aid accessibility

  • Chapters of the magazine are defined through use of colour and illustrative header sections
